After 25 years in retail management, my dream job finally came to fruition. I always wanted to be a stay at home mom for my 3 beautiful boys and in 2020 we made the decision and my dream came true!   When our youngest son Adriano was officially diagnosed with autism at age 3.5 I was devastated,  even though I already knew it in my heart, well before the psychologist said it out loud. I cried for days and months.  I grieved all the things I thought my son would never get to do. My husband Rickey quickly stood up to console me, while Adriano walked around the room exploring without a care. Rickey then asked the psychologists what our next steps should be and sadly we were given very minimal information. 

 

We started our journey trying to maneuver through services we could get for Adriano as quickly as possible. Afterall, all we ever heard was early intervention was the best thing we could do for him. Sadly, it's not that easy, we didn't know where or how to begin. We have managed to learn a lot over the last few years, and I am always happy to share my experiences with anyone who needs the help, while pointing them in the best direction to help them and their child.  Brighter Path 4 Autism was born out of love for our son and the knowing that so many families struggle trying to get the proper supports for their loved one.  Adriano has proven to us over and over that he can do everything he sets his mind to, he loves playing with his brothers, cousins and friends at school! Our older boys are wonderful and so protective of him, we could not ask for more. I am grateful that I get to see my boys grow into their best selves.
